Emergency services have located a 60-year-old man after he was reported missing in Stoney Creek near Woodford this afternoon.
The Mitchelton man has been sighted by emergency service personnel on the opposite side of the swollen, flooded creek and rescue crews are currently en route to retrieve him.
Preliminary information indicates that four men went on a kayaking trip this afternoon in Stoney Creek.
Two of the kayakers, aged 23 and 26, both from North Brisbane have been accounted for after making their own way to shore.
A fourth kayaker aged 30 from Upper Mount Gravatt managed to make his way to a nearby property.
All four men appear safe and well.
Police would like to reiterate the dangerous and unpredictable nature of flood waters, which have treacherous currents and hidden hazards and are urging members of the public not to enter them for any reason.
