D'Aguilar Highway, east and westbound access to Kilcoy, is cut.
Continued heavy rain falling across South East Queensland will force the closure of the highway into Kilcoy, both east and westbound, this afternoon.
The D’Aguilar Highway eastbound was closed to all traffic at Kilcoy Creek earlier this morning.
It is anticipated that Sheep Station Creek will breach its banks this afternoon cutting off the western access of the highway into Kilcoy.
On-going heavy rain is falling in these areas and will make travel extremely hazardous. Motorist should consider the necessity to undertake their journey with police recommending limiting non essential travel.
Significant rainfall and localised flooding will increase hazards and risks and potentially cause major disruptions on other roads and waterways.

Police remind motorists not to attempt to cross flooded roads or causeways. Do not risk your life, the lives of those in your vehicle and the lives of rescuers. Nothing is so important that you need to enter floodwaters.
Members of the public are urged to carefully consider all travel and ensure they are well informed of weather and road conditions prior to embarking on their journey.
