Archive: D’Aguilar Highway Kills Real People!!! Fix It Now…

Kaylene Woodward is the mother of Stephanie Susan Mcpherson, killed on the D’Aguilar Highway, 19th of may this year just 19 years old. Samantha Eldridge was Stephanie’s best friend. Both Kaylene and Samantha tied a black ribbon (picture above) to Kaylene’s car in remembrance of the people who have lost their lives on this death trap.
Ironically before this tragic event Samantha joined the ‘D’Aguilar Highway Kills Fix it Now!!! Group’ on the social networking website Facebook. Below are two unedited posts by Samantha-
This is her first post on the wall.

i know many ppl who have been affected by ppl being
killed/injured on this highway.... something needs to be done! seriously, how many ppl have to be killed for the government to realise that they need to do something NOW about it not later! cause it will be to late! i hate driving that highway to get to morayfield but its the only way! next time you drive the road count the crosses you see - its scary! and to think it may be me or someone close to me next.....
Then this was her next one after Stephanie’s accident.

as you can see from my post made on november 16th.. i said its scary to think it might be someone close to me next... my best friend was killed on that road on the 19/05/2009.... the accident had nothing to do with the driver - it was in wet conditions and cause there is no proper drainage this resulted in the accident.... myself and MANY of my friends are now petrified to travel on this road..! if this problem was fixed when all this protesting and first accident happened i may not have had to be here sitting here writing this... but no the government wont do anything until ppl have died and ppl like myself and others start writing all these notes pleading for safer roads... i will never be able to get my best friend back thanks to the lack of interest from the government and i just hope they make some changes NOW before i loose anyone else..!
Kaylene also said “The D’Aguilar Highway has to be fixed now so no one else has to endure what we are going through. I lost my daughter and best friend!”
Come along to the D’Aguilar Highway Kills Fix It Now rally being held on the 12th of September at the Woodford hall from 10am. Too many people have died on this death trap and now you have an opportunity to be a part of the solution.
