Eyewitness View: Four held hostage in Upper Mt Gravatt.

Police have charged a 35-year-old Coopers Plains man following an incident in Upper Mount Gravatt yesterday morning.


Police will allege that a man has run from police from a convenience store and entered a home on Perkins Street, armed with a firearm and holding four people inside.


It will further be alleged that the man then broke into a home on Lindwall Street and was later taken into custody.


The man has been charged with 11 counts of serious assault of a police officer, four counts of deprivation of liberty, four counts of common assault, three counts of attempted robbery, three counts of threatening violence, two counts of unlawful use of motor vehicle and a number of firearm charges.


He is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
