Mr Darcy Invites You!The Fun Begins!

Mr Fitzwilliam Darcy requests the pleasure of your company at his annual Picnic at Pemberley on Saturday the 14th September, hosted by the Abbey Museum of Art and Archaeology! Partake in the pleasant pursuits of croquet, kite flying, dancing and badminton! Frolic in the fields or play a Game of Graces before settling down to sip tea from the finest china and savour delicious regency treats!

Dress in your best Regency attire and enjoy a celebration of the life and times of Jane Austen with this incredible afternoon of well-mannered frivolity!! Festivities will commence at 2.00pm and Afternoon tea will be served at 3.00pm, leaving you plenty of time to indulge in the deliciously diverting pastimes on offer! The day ends on a spectacular note, with dancing and a display of noble militia to
complete your expectations!

The grounds at the Abbey Museum of Art and Archaeology will be transformed into a picturesque Regency paradise to raise funds to build an art gallery to house the fabulous Old Masters and Icons in the Museum collection. Visitors to the event are encouraged to tour the priceless collection of artefacts on display in the Museum and view the magnificent stained glass in the Abbey Church.
