Police Incident, Beerburrum

Update 4.47pm:

A woman has been detained following a traffic incident in the Beerwah area earlier today.
Around 9.30am police were advised of a vehicle that was allegedly being driven erratically, sideswiping a number of cars, on the Bruce Highway at Morayfield.
Police located the vehicle travelling north on the Bruce Highway near the Caboolture Road overpass and attempted to intercept the vehicle however it allegedly failed to stop.
Due to concerns for public safety police then blocked the road behind the vehicle as the vehicle continued to travel north. At the time it will be alleged the vehicle was travelling on one rim, was weaving across marked lanes and travelling below the marked speed limit.
A tyre deflation device was deployed north of Coochin Creek resulting in two tyres being deflated. The vehicle slowed and then stopped near the Caloundra Road overpass with a woman being taken into custody around 10.10am.
A 34-year-old Lutwych woman has been taken to the Caboolture Hospital.
No one was injured as a result of the incident.
Investigations are continuing.
