Medieval fun time for kids at Morayfield Shopping Centre

Children can “go back in time” at medieval workshops these school holidays at Morayfield Shopping  Centre.

The Abbey Medieval Festival and Morayfield Shopping Centre have joined forces to run a variety of medieval fun time activities from Monday 25 June to Friday 29 June at the shopping centre.

Kids can sign up for workshops such as Shield and Sword Decorating, Princess Hat making, Face Painting, Role Play and Story Time, and a Colouring-In Competition.

“We know kids love the Abbey Medieval Festival,” said Abbey Medieval Festival Marketing Manager Suesann Vos.

“Whether it is dressing up, decorating shields or making princess hats, children really enjoy stepping back in time.

“These activities allow them to use them their creativity, and they get to learn about life in medieval times,” said Suesann.

The Medieval workshops will be in the Atrium at Morayfield Shopping Centre at 9.30am, 11am, 12.30pm, 2pm, and 3.30pm, from Monday 25 June to Friday 29 June.

There is no cost for the workshops.

Parents can book at the Atrium for their preferred day.  All sessions and workshops run for one hour from their start times.

Families at the workshop will also have the chance to win a Family Day Pass to the Abbey Medieval Festival.

“If your kids love the Medieval workshops at Morayfield Shopping Centre, then bring them along for the Kids’ Medieval Fun Day on Tuesday July 3 at the Abbey Medieval Festival,” said Suesann.

“We have even more fun activities for school children at Kids’ Day  including stilt walking, trebuchet firing, medieval games, storytelling, at the cost of just $4 per child,” said Suesann.
