About 340km south of Sydney in New South Wales lies a sleepy, little seaside town named Dalmeny. We first discovered it on our road trip last year but couldn’t wait to drop in once more.
Dalmeny is a town without the hoards of tourists, even though it deserves to have them. Pulling up in the car park, it is just a short walk across a little wooden bridge to a perfect swimming spot.
A small channel of crystal clear seawater leading to the surf beach beyond makes for a gentle and relaxing swim spot – perfect for the kids. When the tide is in, children jump from the railings of the bridge into the water. We took a quick dip in the perfectly clear water; so clear small fish can be seen swimming past. The surf beach offers miles of sandy beach to walk. There is also an excellent beachfront campground.

It sounds like a great town to stop at and enjoy the beaches! I like the idea of beach camping!
