Woodford was completely isolated for part of the recent flooding.
The local Police Sergeant, Jason Renwick and Scout leader Michael Wallis, jumped into action.
They turned the community hall into an evacuation centre. This centre was responsible for looking after hundreds of people including those who couldn't get home, volunteers and emergency services taking a break from the harsh conditions in the field.
This community came together helped each other and then went on to support other areas including Toogoolawah, Esk and Gatton.
